Most snake venoms are only capable of killing a human slowly and usually there will be enough time to find the right antivenom in case of emergency. But one species completely ruins that kind of expectation.
If you have to prey on the predators, you got to be the most dangerous of them all!
The blue coral snake which is native to Southeast Asia has a venom that is able to trigger all nerves of its victim to fire at once. This results in paralysis, full body spasms and a really painful and quick death.
As of now, there is no anti-venom for the bite of a blue coral snake.
What’s also so interesting about this snake is that it actually specialized on preying on other snakes such as the king cobra. Maybe this is why they are equipped with such a quick acting super deadly venom, because they hunt dangerously venomous animals themselves.
