Hello everyone! I’m a little nervous to post this, but here it goes. My name is Amanda Scovin. I was placed for adoption in 1992 when I was one month old through the Catholic Family Charities adoption agency in Amarillo, Texas. I’m now 33 years old, and over the past couple of years, I’ve become very curious about my birth family. I wonder if I have siblings, what my birth parents look like, and things like that.
I’m not looking to ask questions about why I was adopted—that’s not my reason for wanting to connect. It’s just simple curiosity. I do know my birth name was Moriah, and I think my birth last name might have been Wagner, though I’m not completely sure. I was born in February 1992. I don’t have any photos from right after I was adopted, but this is the youngest picture I have of myself.
