Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the one and only, Urechis unicinctus or fat inkeeper worm or penis fish (it’s not an actual fish but whatever).
When Mother Nature decides to make a meme
As you can see by its appearance and name, it looks like… well, y’all already know what I’m gonna say. This species of marine spoon worm or Echiura, lives in Bohai gulf off the coast of Korea and Japan. Their body is usually about 10–30 cm long, cylindrical in shape and yellow-brownish in color. They live and burrow in the snd and mud and create U-shaped burrows in the soft sediment.
In parts of East Asia such as Korea, China, and Japan, they are often cooked and sold as food (why am I not suprised by that).
Help us please
I’ve seen a couple videos that had this thing cooked and sliced into pieces, and as a male, it made me uncomftorable, I had this odd feeling, especially towards my crotch area.
So thanks, but no thanks, I’ll skip any chance I have at having this thing as dinner for tonight.
