Born in India in 1963, Sanju Bhagat worked as a farmer. He worked hard until he noticed his belly getting bigger around his mid-20s. At first, it didn’t bother Sanju until people started to take notice and make fun of him.
His belly kept getting bigger, and people warned him to get it checked, but he couldn’t afford to take time off, so he let it get bigger. It got to a stage where he could barely walk, and it was getting hard to breathe. At the age of 36, Sanju finally went to to hospital to have it checked.
Doctors thought it was a massive tumour and decided to operate on him straight away. When the doctor made the first incision, he was shocked to discover that it wasn’t a tumour. The doctor said when he put his hand inside the patient he could shake hands with whatever was inside him.
Sanju had been carrying around his twin in his stomach and it was living off him like a parasite. It is known as Foetus in Fetu and its extremely rare.
The mutated body had fully formed hands and legs, with hair and fingernails. It even had a jawbone with teeth.
After the surgery Sanju recovered and was able to live a normal life. His twin however died a few hours after being removed from its host.
