What’s a part of fame nobody talks about?

Deera

One thing not many celebrities consider before going into the movie industry? Every part of you will be open for discussion. Quite literally.

I recall an interview with actress Mary Louise Parker, back in 2009. She was starring in the show Weeds at the time. In it she played a widowed housewife-turned-drugsdealer. In one particular scene, she had gotten naked and she regretted it:

Apparantly, the topless scene went viral at the time — with people talking a lot about her apparantly having “big nipples”. Now this is something nobody would have known about Miss Parker, had she not been an actress and had she not been goaded into doing a scene she didn’t feel particularly comfortable doing in the first place…

So, yeah, that’s something not a lot of celebrities take into consideration. The fact that your body no longer belongs to you, but becomes part of public discourse. And even your most intimate physical details are suddenly up for public online discussion. Yikes!
